yawn, grumble grumble

I need a bumper sticker (or t-shirt) that says, “I’d rather be napping,” because let’s face it…it’s the truth pretty much at all times. I’ve probably said this before, but I stand by it firmly. It’s not that I’m lazy (or slothful). It’s just that I really do require that much sleep. I don’t know why, but ’tis the way of the world. Bless my heart when I have kids. Or rather, may God have mercy on my soul.

Gossip site: Aiken to be a father
It’s not from the most reliable source in the world, but word going around the blogosphere is that Clay Aiken is going to be a father.
According to the celebrity-gossip site tmz.com, the Raleigh star of “American Idol” and “Spamalot” has artificially inseminated a woman identified as his best friend, 50-year-old Jaymes Foster. The report cites August as due date. It also says that Aiken “will have an active role in raising the child.”
The report identifies no sources. Calls to Aiken’s representatives have yet to be returned.
