Viva Mexico!

I am so thankful for Mexico. Seriously, think about it. The vast majority of my ESL students in Raleigh have been Mexican, and if it weren’t for us having such a huge Mexican population, Wake Tech wouldn’t need nearly as many ESL teachers. And once people get in working there, especially full-time or daytime hours, they don’t leave, so it’s likely that when I moved here, they wouldn’t have needed me without all those Mexicans.

And then there’s the food. Amaris and I went to El Rodeo for dinner yesterday, and the whole time we were eating, I was simply ecstatic about it. I might have even been doing a little dance the whole time. Maybe.

So gracias, Mexico. Que bueno es la vida contigo en el mundo!
