Put Your Imagination Hat On

Y’all. I am SO excited to be hosting my first legitimate GIVEAWAY!!! You may recall that I came into possession of some rather shady and/or unattractive items back in January and hosted several contests to get rid of them. And although the boat show was super-rad (I know, I know, I still haven’t posted the squirrel video), and the winner of the Adam and Eve prize pack is now “coincidentally” pregnant (with twins!), those were still just sort of random things I’d been given and wanted to give away. BUT TODAY…

I'm told that I'm cleverly stupid, and that's why people are friends with me. And here I thought it was because I was so dang cute...

  1. I will use my win to have personalized postcards–pink, of course!–made to send thank-you notes, invitations, etc. to promote my Mary Kay business.

  2. And I’ve been a fan of Onward Hoe on Facebook for several months. Surely that qualifies me for extra entries!

  3. Designed with my contact info on the back and a great photo (I took) on the front with my logo to say thank you to clients.

  4. Have them printed on both sides x2 with Vintage21 Kids contact information for me to distribute to my volunteers. That way, they would have something they could put on their fridge and a bit more substantial than a piece of paper.

  5. I’d love to use these as save-the-dates for my wedding! I love how eco-chic they are since they don’t require envelopes. Happy Earth Day, too!

  6. I have a few options for the 100 postcards. If I were to pursue the more serious route, I would use them to keep in touch with those you partner with my ministry. For a fun route, I would send them to PostCrossing and get some fun postcards in return.

  7. lemme see….since WTCC couldn’t/wouldn’t pay for advertising, I’d have them printed with the info (in espanish) about our NEW ESL eschool that’s right next to, YES, right next to, the existing main eschool. The new site is scheduled to open late summer/or fall ~ did I mention right next to the existing “real” eschool? So…I’d put the postcards in the local tiendas in an effort to lure said estudents to the new and away from the old site so I’d be sure to have a job. there. I said it.

  8. Make message cards out of them. Categories like Name, Association, What do I like about you, etc. Then fill it in with a small note and mail them to random folk!

  9. I would send a copy to every architecture firm in Oregon (I’m pretty sure there’s only about 100 anyway) and beg for a job. I could put a sweet image from my portfolio on the picture side. The text side would simply read “PUHLEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE hire me Love, Emily.”

  10. Idea #2: next year’s Christmas cards! I never send out Christmas cards (I’m too cheap) so this would be an incentive to finally do so. I’d even send one to you, Beth. 🙂

  11. OOH! Idea #3: Scratch my Idea #2. I’m sending out Guy Fawkes Day cards instead. “Remember, remember, the 5th of November…”
