Power Down

I’ve just been sitting here for five full minutes trying to think of something to blog about. I want to blog. I want to do a lot of writing. But my brain has just been shutting itself down in the afternoons lately. I get home from six hours of teaching, and it’s like I’ve reached my limit for the day. So I zone out on Netflix or maybe go to the Y, but cerebral activity? Not so much.
So I’m going to take this opportunity (very quickly because I have to leave to go back to work) to answer a couple of formspring questions. Yeah, I still have formspring. Crazy, right?
What would a 19th century Beth be like?
Well, not knowing very much about 19th century women/culture, I don’t feel super-equipped to answer this question, but I think she’d probably be a bit of a rabble-rouser. I like to think she’d be at the forefront of the women’s rights movement, working alongside the likes of Elizabeth Cady Stanton for suffrage. She’d probably also wear ever-so-slightly inappropriate clothing.
Would you ever go to a nude beach?
Yes. Yes, I believe I would.
