possibilities?

Ok, so this will likely not turn into anything at all, but on the radio yesterday morning, the lady half of the morning show duo that I listen to announced that she was leaving. So naturally I emailed her. And the man half of the duo. And the program director about the possibility of my taking her place. I pointed out to them that I am fluent in English and very loquacious at that, I’m fun and witty (I made them laugh just a few weeks ago when I called in. They even played me on the radio and everything), I love the music they play (with the exceptions of John Mayer and Amy Grant), and I know Ira David Wood, III. Kind of (but not really). I only tossed that in because they talk to him and have him on the show periodically, and I figured it couldn’t hurt my chances of getting into “A Christmas Carol” any more than my auditioning abilities.
To the program director, I suggested that they hold a radio reality show wherein they “audition” the folks who want to be the next morning co-host on the air, live, with the other co-host. Then they have a website set up where the public can go, read bios of the finalists, look at pictures, listen to clips and vote for their favorite. It’s radio programming by the people FOR the people, says I. And it is brilliant, methinks. I’m not sure why I’ve just become Victorian, but no matter…onward!
Like I said, the whole thing will likely amount to nothing, but if I become a radio personality prospect, you will all be required to log on and vote for me. Deal?

Will said,
Dude… you’d totally make a most rockin radio show co-host. No doubt.
Do it.
I hope you win.
