title pic good news

I talked to a nurse today who will be a part of the medical crew for the Avon Walk in Charlotte next month. This will be her second time on the crew as she did it last year as well. So (a) she’s a nurse, and (b) she’s seen thousands of people come through the walk in all manner of physical condition. I asked her about my hips, and she said it most likely wasn’t actually my hip joints at all. She said it was probably the Iliofemoral ligaments that run right there in the pelvic/hip/thigh region. She said I probably just didn’t stretch them very well before I started, which makes perfect sense considering I didn’t know they existed. And she said I should just take some ibuprofen before and after the walk and I’d be fine.

So now I just have to worry about two things:

  1. Finishing the dang thing before they close the course for the night.
  2. Raising the money (hint hint…that’s where you come in).
