I am confused by this new Dunkin Donuts commercial I’ve seen twice today while I was watching TV when I should have been lesson planning.
ANYhoe, there are all these people being very active outdoors and singing a song about “doing things is what I like to do,” and then at the end of the commercial, there is a stick-man running, and it says something like “America runs on Dunkin Donuts.” Now, I can only assume they mean that people have the energy to do the things they do because of the sugar and caffeine in the DD foods and beverages, but it makes it look like doughnuts are some sort of sports food. They are delicious, don’t get me wrong. But good for preparing the body for any sort of physical activity? Not so much. I mean, I know every time I eat doughnuts, the very first thing I want to do is go for a jog.
On a completely unrelated note, Matthew Perry’s physical comedy in The Whole Nine Yards is absolutely hilarious.

I saw that commercial for the first time today and it is absolutely lame. I, personally, think that Dunkin Donuts would do nothing for your day but give you a sugar high.

Poor little post without a title…
Matthew Perry’s agent should definitely seek out roles for him relying heavily on physical comedy. Or negotiate a spin-off about Chandler Bing. Storylines could revolve around how “he couldn’t BE any (fill in the blank)!”
