Living in a Winter Wonderland
Posted by beth on January 29, 2010
I might very well be the only person in the NC mountains right now who is excited about all this snow. Everyone else is over it, but for me, winter just started when I moved here. It wasn’t all that cold in Italy, it was rainy in Portland, and the day before I left Raleigh, it was like 70ยบ or something ridiculous. I haven’t seen a good snow since last January when we were all off of work and went up to JBeau’s house to play Rock Band. For me, it’s time.
I knew it was coming, so my plan for the day was as follows:
- Wake up and shower.
- Go to the store for a few last minute things.
- Swing by the bank for something wholly unrelated to the snow.
- Find/Purchase a sled.
- Do laundry.
- Watch Lost and wait for the snow.
What has actually happened was this:
- Wake up and watch Lost for four hours.
- Shower.
- Realize it’s already snowing pretty hard.
- Go to the store for a few last minute things.
- Give up on the sled.
I guess I should do the laundry.

Only 4 hours of Lost? I’m having fond memories of last year right now, although I suppose I’ll be rockin’ solo today.
