nervous
I am currently sitting in the Raleigh Little Theatre waiting for my turn to audition for A Christmas Carol. I am taking this moment to blog for two reasons. Number one: I haven’t done it recently and quite frankly, I miss you, internet. And number two: I need to take my mind off the situation as it is rather nerve racking. I know I just need to take a deep breath and let it all out. But you get up there all alone in front of everybody, and something totally annoying and frustrating happens. You tense up, close up, stop breathing (which is rather a bad thing when you’re singing), and want to both pee and vomit at once. And there’s nothing you can do about it. You try to fight it off and sing over it, but once it ruins you, you’re just ruined. However the beginning of the song goes, so goes the rest of the song. So just pray I get off on the right foot. I’ll let you know how it goes.
