seriously y’all

July 16th, 2008

If I don’t survive July, I want Whitney to have all my belts and piano music. Lauren and Jeff can duke it out over my DVD collection. Give my sofa and dresser back to my mama and divvy up the rest as you wish. If you just don’t feel like dealing with it, add it to the giant pile of crap on the curb outside our house.

This. This is exactly why I moved so much before and exactly why I didn’t move for three years. If you move a lot, you keep very little, and then moving’s not so bad. But once you start accumulating stuff, you should really just stay put because it makes moving a total nightmare that never ends. Or at least it feels that way. I’m still unpacking at the new house, and I still have some stuff at the old place. It’s just the food in the cabinet, but still. It needs to be moved. And then the old place needs a good scrubbing, and lesson plans need to be written, especially sub plans for next Thursday and Friday when I’ll be in CANCUN (!!!), which is VERY exciting, but still stressful, and I’m not sure I’ll have any clothes to wear while I’m there because they’re all going to be dirty because our washer/dryer are not quite ready to be used because we need some parts or something. But I guess that’s not too terrible because I can pretty much just wear a bathing suit the whole time unless I’m in a bridesmaid’s dress, at which point I can just wear a bathing suit bottom under the dress (which is strapless), and then the only issue to deal with will be finding something to wear to work on Monday because heaven knows I can’t wear a bathing suit or a bridesmaid’s dress there.

But on the bright side, the moving is basically done. The stuff is finding a place. The new roommates are great. The moving went smoothly, and we had a lot of help (thanks!). My room is ginormous. I’m still alive. And I’m looking forward to next week’s wedding and swim-up bar. Now about that laundry…

If you need to use my washer/dryer let me know. I’m never there to use it these days.

I know people in Raleigh who have washers and dryers they might let you use. Do you?

I’ll be home this weekend if you want to bring your laundry to Asheboro.
