lost

Well, there’s the tv show, which I’ll gladly discuss with those of you who watch it. But also, I had a dream the other night that I’d gone out to a movie after work, and when I left, I couldn’t get home. I don’t know where I was working, but after I finished, I drove downtown and parked, except downtown Raleigh was WAY different from how it is in real life. It was very busy, there was a lot of construction and really cool architecture, and there was a “subway” of some sort, although somehow I knew that it wasn’t the kind of transportation I needed. Like I think it only went to one place, or something, and that place was way out of town. I don’t know. ANYHOE, I parked downtown somewhere and walked to the movie theater, which was way out past the Nike plant (which doesn’t exist, for those of you who don’t live in Raleigh).

I think I might have met up with some people for the movie, which was free. But then they all left before I did, and when I got ready to go, it was raining. Nay, pouring. And I had no idea how I was going to get to my car (a) because it was raining so hard and (b) because I had no idea where it was.

I don’t know if I didn’t have my phone on me, or if it was dead, or if this dream just happened to take place before cell phones, or what, but I couldn’t call anybody, so I just started walking. I wound up on a really shady part of Capital Blvd. at a gas station, and that is where the dream ended.

I just remember feeling so utterly confused and disoriented, but I just kept going, and I never got any closer to home or to a solution. It was very weird. Like me.
